Yoga To Combat Fatigue
When you feel tired the last thing on your mind is to do physical exercise, right?
But it actually helps to exercise and in particular yoga, studies show.
I read this article and that was sure a motivator to keep up my morning yoga practice. (Keep in mind that fatigue can be a symptom of several illnesses,so, as always make sure to consult your primary care physician first.)
For more than a month now I have been doing a Journey up the Chakras Kriya (series of poses, breath work and exercises), which is Kundalini yoga.
Energizing yoga pose and its benefits
In this particular Kriya I’ll be holding Cobra Pose for about 2 minutes. Seems intense, perhaps boring.. Well let me tell you, this pose has been amazing for my back strength and it relieved a nagging lower back pain I would feel whenever I sit for a longer period of time. It’s very challenging but it feels so rewarding!
I’ve fallen in love with Cobra Pose and I’ll share some of the benefits here:
- Increases both strength and flexibility in the spine
- Relieves sciatica
- It stimulates the digestive system
- Helps relieve stress and fatigue
- Lifts the mood
- Improves blood circulation
- Energizes the heart and opens chest
The best thing is to try it for yourself. In today’s new class, we’ll do energizing and uplifting poses like Cobra Pose, so you feel rejuvenated!
In this 17 minute video you’ll warm up your whole body, boost your energy levels, get the blood circulating and it will end with a cool down. A perfect balanced yoga practice to do as a warm up or as a stand alone practice if you’re short on time!
